The world of education is increasingly moving towards progress along with the development of information and communication technology which is also rapidly developing. Teachers don't miss out on diversifying teaching methods, techniques and strategies to apply them to students. This concept paper discusses coaching in tahfiz teaching. This concept paper uses literature review through analysis from previous studies. There are two research objectives which are to identify the challenges of teachers in teaching tahfiz and to identify the need for coaching in teaching tahfiz. The results of the study found that students need specific guidance from teachers especially regarding the memorization of the Quran. The goal of this study is for teachers, especially tahfiz teachers, to improve the level of professionalism in their teaching.
