Analysis of The Relationship Between Leadership Style of Nazir and Enlivenment Mosque Factors.

Abstract

Masjid merupakan medan utama dalam kerangka pembangunan peradaban umat Islam. Ia  juga  berfungsi  sebagai  lambang  keutuhan  dan  kekuatan  umat Islam  di  sepanjang  zaman.  Dalam  membicarakan  isu  yang berkaitan dengan institusi masjid yang mempunyai pelbagai fungsi itu,  maka  antara  isu  yang  paling  penting  ialah  usaha  ke  arah memperkasa dalam pengimarahan masjid melalui kebijaksanaan  kepimpinan masjid. Sehubungan dengan itu, kajian ini dijalankan bagi mengkaji hubungan antara gaya kepimpinan nazir dalam mempengaruhi faktor pengimarahan masjid. Metodologi kajian ini adalah berbentuk kuantitatif iaitu menggunakan pengedaran soal selidik untuk mendapatkan data utama. Kajian dilakukan kepada 200 orang responden yang terdiri dari kalangan Nazir masjid di Selangor. Seterusnya, data yang diperolehi kemudian dianalisa dengan menggunakan SPSS Version 23.0 (Statistical Package for Social Science) dan dijelaskan dalam bentuk stastistik deskriptif dan inferensi. Ujian Korelasi Pearson mendapati bahawa nilai yang diperolehi adalah min = 115.15, sp = 9.88 (gaya kepimpinan nazir) dan min = 134.30, sp = 12.39 (faktor pengimarahan masjid), dengan nilai r = 0.787, r² = 0.619 dan sig = 0.000. Nilai min yang diperolehi bagi kedua-dua pemboleh ubah yang dikaji menunjukkan bahawa nazir-nazir masjid yang dikaji mempunyai gaya kepimpinan yang tinggi. Seterusnya nilai r menunjukkan wujudnya hubungan korelasi yang positif antara gaya kepimpinan nazir dengan faktor pengimarahan masjid. Walau bagaimanapun kekuatan hubungan yang diperolehi adalah pada tahap yang sederhana. Seterusnya nilai r = 0.787 memberikan implikasi bahawa semakin meningkat gaya kepimpinan masjid maka faktor pengimarahan sesebuah masjid turut meningkat.

The mosque is the main field in the framework of the development of muslim civilization. It also serves as a symbol of the integrity and strength of Muslims throughout the ages. In discussing issues related to the mosque institution which has various functions, then among the most important issues is the effort towards empowering in the enliven of the mosque through the wisdom of the mosque leadership. In this regard, this study was conducted to examine the relationship between the leadership style of the nazir in influencing the factors of enlivenment the mosque. Data were obtained through a quantitative research through the issuance of a set of questionnaires and a total of 200 respondents who answered the questionnaire among nazir in Selangor. The data obtained were analyzed using SPSS Version 23.0 (Statistical Package for Social Science) and explained in the form of descriptive and inferential statistics. Pearson Correlation Test found that the values obtained were mean = 115.15, sp = 9.88 (leadership style of nazir) and mean = 134.30, sp = 12.39 (the factor of enlivement mosque), with values r = 0.787, r² = 0.619 and sig = 0.000. The mean values obtained for both variables studied indicate that the nazir of the mosques studied have a high leadership style. The value of r indicates the existence of a positive correlation between the leadership style of the nazir and the factor of enlivening the mosque. However the strength of the relationship obtained is at a moderate level. Furthermore, the value of r = 0.787 gives the implication that the increasing the leadership style of the mosque, then the factor of enlivenment mosque also increase.
